STACK Infrastructure's PHX02 campus sits on a 51-acre parcel at the southwest corner of 40th Street and the Loop 202 (Red Mountain) Freeway in central Phoenix, about a mile north of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The Grand Canal bounds the site on the southwest, and the QTS Phoenix 2 campus lies across the freeway to the north.

STACK's entity SI PHXL2 LLC bought the land from Sunbelt Land Holdings LP; the deed was recorded on October 27, 2022. Sunbelt had planned the Skyway 202 business park on the site, and the City of Phoenix still files the development as "STACK Skyway Data Center." STACK announced a five-building, multi-level hyperscale campus in 2022.

Arizona Public Service serves the campus from a dedicated on-site substation with gas-insulated switchgear, which STACK markets at 350 MW. APS recorded an easement on the parcel in 2024, and its substation building rose in 2026. STACK's basis of design uses air-cooled chillers, a low-water-use design, and N+1 block-redundant generators and UPS. STACK markets the campus on 100% renewable energy.

Holder Construction is the general contractor for the first building. The city issued its building permit in January 2026, and foundation work started that September.

STACK Infrastructure is a privately held platform sponsored by IPI Partners that focuses on large scale wholesale capacity and campus development for hyperscale and enterprise customers.

The company was launched in 2019 when IPI combined the remaining Infomart Data Centers assets with selected T5 Data Centers facilities, and industry coverage at launch cited eight data centers across six U.S. markets totaling about 100 MW. In March 2022, IPI unified DigiPlex in the Nordics and SUPERNAP Italia in Milan under the STACK brand to form STACK EMEA, expanding the platform across Europe. STACK has since added international sites, including the first phase of a 56 MW campus in Toronto and its first Australian data center in Melbourne. Core services referenced by the company and trade press include wholesale colocation, build to suit, and powered shell solutions.

STACK Infrastructure History:

  • 2025: Sold its European enterprise colocation business (seven data centers in Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, Milan and Geneva) to Apollo-managed funds; it now operates as Vaultica. STACK EMEA kept its hyperscale campuses.
  • 2023: Opened the first Australian data center in Melbourne on a multi-building campus.
  • 2023: Delivered the first 8 MW phase of a planned 56 MW campus in Toronto.
  • 2022: Rebranded DigiPlex (Nordics) and SUPERNAP Italia (Milan) as STACK EMEA.
  • 2019: IPI Partners launched STACK Infrastructure by combining the three Infomart Data Centers sites with selected T5 Data Centers assets. The company was rebranded as STACK INFRASTRUCTURE
  • 2018: ASB Real Estate Investments sold the three remaining Infomart Data Centers facilities in San Jose, Hillsboro, and Ashburn to IPI Partners; the Dallas Infomart carrier hotel was sold separately to Equinix earlier that year.
  • 2014: Acquired a facility in Ashburn that had been owned by AOL.
  • 2014: ASB Real Estate Fund, a subsidiary of DCI Technology Holdings, merged Infomart with Fortune Data Centers. The combined company was renamed to Infomart Data Centers.
  • 2012: Expanded to Oregon with a building in Hillsboro
  • 2007: John Sheputis purchased first Fortune Data Center in San Jose, CA, backed by ASB Real Estate
  • 2006: ASB Real Estate purchased Infomart Dallas building
  • 2006: Fortune Founded as Fortune Data Centers
