Data Center Campus
NextNRG's proposed energy and data center campus on land leased from Rayonier in Nassau County, Florida, north of Jacksonville International Airport. NextNRG dropped the data center plan in 2026.
NextNRG announced the campus in September 2025 on a long-term lease option over about 1,600 acres in Nassau County, Florida, north of Jacksonville International Airport. Rayonier owns the land, and the parcels were never disclosed. The plan set aside about 1,200 acres for a smart microgrid and about 400 acres for a hyperscale data center.
Status. In April 2026 NextNRG's CEO said the company is "not in the data center business" and is pursuing a solar project on the land instead. Nassau County had received no applications for the project, and it adopted a 12-month data center moratorium in June 2026.
