Equinix's Northwest Business Park campus sits in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15, in the north-west of the city. It holds two data centers, DB3 at Unit 2 and DB4 at Unit 14.

History

  • Data Electronics opened the first data center at Unit 2 in April 2009 and expanded it in 2011.
  • TelecityGroup bought Data Electronics in 2011, added further phases at Unit 2, and opened its fourth Dublin data center at Unit 14 (DUB4) in September 2015.
  • Equinix acquired TelecityGroup in January 2016 and renamed the buildings DB3 and DB4. It added further phases in DB4 in 2016 and in DB3 in 2017.

Infrastructure

  • ESB Networks supplies the campus. DB3 takes two 10 MVA utility feeders.
  • DB3 runs diesel generators and rotary DRUPS units in N+1; DB4 has its own generator plant.
  • PeeringDB lists the pair as Equinix's Dublin North campus.
