Connect Data Centers, the data center platform of Excelsior, Minnesota developer Oppidan Investment Company, proposed a campus beside the Northport Industrial Park in North Mankato.
- Site: Cropland along Rockford Road and US Highway 14, in an orderly-annexation area of Belgrade Township. The city's environmental review (AUAR) covered about 679 acres.
- Scale: About 4 million sq ft. The city signed a nondisclosure agreement with Oppidan in 2023.
- Status: Oppidan withdrew in fall 2025 before filing an application, citing Minnesota's permit timeline for backup generators. On September 21, 2026, the city adopted a 12-month data center moratorium, renewable for one year.
