Data Center Campus
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced plans to invest $15 billion in Hobart, Indiana, to develop a massive data center campus.
Amazon will cover the entire cost of the infrastructure required for the site. The company will pay fees to utilize existing power lines owned by local utility NIPSCO, which is slated to provide the campus with electricity. Amazon is also responsible for the costs of any new power plants, transmission lines, or specialized equipment necessary to power the facility.
