Russia's Wildberries has announced the launch of its first data center, located in the Moscow region. Spanning 16,000 sqm, the facility offers 3.5 MW of capacity. The facility is the company's first and is based at its logistics hub.
The project has seen an investment of 1.2 billion rubles and is reportedly now the largest data center in the Russian marketplace.
Further, the company's facility reportedly has a sustainability focus, using "direct free-cooling" technology, which it shared is uncommon in the country.
Representatives shared with Cnews that, going forward, it plans to "completely transfer" the IT infrastructure to its own data centers.
