VPLS has completed the acquisition of Carrier-1’s 106,000 square feet data center in Dallas, Texas. The facility offers 10MW in capacity, and it will become VPLS’ fourth data center in Dallas. The CEO of VPLS, Arman Khalili, said the company is happy to welcome the employees and customers of Carrier-1 to the VPLS family. He added that Texas has always been a strategic and important market for the company due to its top-class customers that need state-of-the-art digital and internet infrastructure solutions for their computing and data center needs.
Neither VPLS nor Carrier-1 revealed the terms of the transaction. Bank Street Group LLC was Carrier-1’s exclusive financial advisor on the deal. The President of Carrier-1, Julia Morgan, noted that VPLS’s extensive facilities and service offerings would give Carrier-1’s existing customers new options for enhanced solutions and geographic diversity.
