Vertiv is expanding its manufacturing facility in Slovakia to increase production capacity for data center power and cooling equipment. The company will add 22,000 sqm (236,806 sq ft) to its Nové Mesto nad Váhom campus in western Slovakia, with the expansion expected to take two years. The expansion will boost production of power, switchgear, and thermal management technologies, including liquid cooling and power solutions for high-density AI and HPC applications.
“As AI and other critical digital applications increase in the region, we continue to invest in our manufacturing capabilities across EMEA,” said Paul Ryan, president of Vertiv in EMEA.
“The expansion of Nové Mesto nad Váhom will enhance our ability to support customers deploying increasingly critical digital infrastructure while further strengthening our capabilities for next-generation AI and high-performance computing applications... this investment further strengthens Vertiv’s ability to help bring critical power and cooling capacity online faster and at scale.”
Vertiv said the expansion will create “hundreds” of jobs between 2027 and 2029 across manufacturing, engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, technical, and leadership roles. Chris Hales, VP of operations for EMEA at Vertiv, said the investment will strengthen the company’s industrial capabilities while supporting innovation and talent development.
Vertiv has seen strong demand for its products amid the AI data center boom and also operates manufacturing facilities in Croatia, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, and the US.
