Leveraging domestic resources to power the AI revolution, the DOE has detailed 16 possible sites for the development of data centers on federal land. The locations include in-place energy infrastructure with the ability to fast-track permitting for new energy generation.


UK Edge data center firm Pulsant has further expanded its footprint in the UK with a recent acquisition of data centers in Birmingham and Fareham from SCC in a deal which includes the facilities, facilities teams, and colocation clients.


Vodacom has launched in Maputo, Mozambique what is said to be the largest carrier-neutral data center in the country, which also offers direct access to the 2Africa subsea cable.


Property investor GLP  has raised a total of 2.6 billion Yuan ($358m), from a group of institutional investors based in China and abroad to “acquire a fully operational, high-performance data center developed by GLP and fully leased to a leading e-commerce company.” 


Israeli renewable energy company Enlight Renewables has been awarded a tender to develop an integrated data center and renewable energy complex in Ashalim, southern Israel with plans to invest up to $1.1 billion in the project.
