Samsung has invested $1 billion in Helix Digital Infrastructure, the data center developer established by KKR. Helix and KKR announced on September 29 that Samsung committed the funding through its long-duration capital fund, providing additional capital to support Helix’s data center expansion.

Founded earlier this year and led by former AWS CEO Adam Selipsky, Helix plans to develop hyperscale data centers backed by integrated power supply agreements. The company has not yet disclosed details of its planned projects. Samsung’s investment adds to the more than $10bn Helix has secured from investors including KKR, the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), Nvidia, and Vistra.

“Samsung's commitment is a strong vote of confidence in Helix's strategy and further deepens the long-term capital base we've built to meet the scale of AI infrastructure demand,” said Selipsky, CEO and co-founder of Helix. “As one of the world's leading technology companies, Samsung brings unique capabilities that we expect will benefit Helix and its customers, and we look forward to working together to accelerate the deployment of next-generation digital infrastructure for hyperscalers around the world.”Photo_18-03-2026_16_27_26.width-358.webp
