Malaysian tech firm Sagtec Global plans to build a sovereign AI data center. The company aims to complete the facility by Q4 2026 through its subsidiary CL Technologies. While details remain limited, the data center will use Nvidia GPU architecture to support daily transactions across food and beverage ordering, retail operations, and fintech systems.
The company said the data center would position it and CL at the “convergence of AI infrastructure, fintech scalability, and high-volume food and beverage retail ordering and retail transaction processing.”
As part of the launch, Sagtec said it will expand CL Technologies, which is currently responsible for data management and analytics within Sagtec. "Owning our infrastructure is a natural progression as we scale," said Kevin Ng, CEO of Sagtec Global. "With the integration of Nvidia-powered systems and the continued development of CL Technologies, we are strengthening our foundation in data and positioning the Group for long-term growth."
