Prime Data Centers to expand in LA

Prime Data Centers is to open a new hyperscale datacenter in Los Angeles after acquiring a 4.5-acre parcel, which is presently occupied by an industrial building, it has been announced. The facility will have a capacity of 33MW and be located in Vernon, Southern California. The data center plans outlined include three-stories, and span 261,000 square foot data with a 49.5 MVA dedicated substation on the parcel.

Speaking about this development, Nicholas Laag, CEO and Founder of Prime Data Centers: “As our first data center development in southern California, this bolsters our strong presence across the rest of the state. Los Angeles is a thriving global connectivity market, and our new hyperscale Vernon data center will be right in the middle of it all.” 

The new Prime Vernon facility is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2023.

Prime Data Centers has 31 sites in 5 regions.
