Panattoni has backed out of its data center plans for Borehamwood, London; it has been announced. If all had gone to plan, the company would have developed a three-story, 41,763 sqm (449,500 sq ft) 50MW capacity data center with Pure Data Centres. However, the two have not gone ahead with the deal, despite being granted permission to build from Hertsmere Borough Council last year.
Instead, now the space will be used for logistics facilities, which includes an already-built 159,000 sqft warehouse and is available to let.
Aside from this announcement, Panattoni has revealed it is developing another 142,000 sqft logistics facility at the location, namely Panattoni Park Borehamwood. The company has stated that its completion date will be in the third quarter of 2022.
