According to El Economista, Orange has plans to invest €20 million ($23.2m) to develop five new data centers in Spain. The telco plans to complete the development of these data centers before 2023 runs out. Orange aims to break ground on these facilities in the next few months and have them in full operation before the end of 2023.

Orange plans to have the first data center in Salamanca, with work scheduled to start on the facility this quarter. The other data centers will be located in Almeria, Cáceres, León, and Orense. Orange opened a new data center in Santander, Spain, last month. The facility costs €4m, and it has 13,300 square feet (1,236 square meters) of space. Orange has also opened a new data center in Poland and acquired a facility in Morocco this year.
