OpsRamp, a provider of IT operations management services, will be acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), the company has announced. OpsRamp, situated in San Jose, California, controls, automates, and monitors IT infrastructure. Due to the purchase, the IT operations management business (ITOM) will integrate with the HPE GreenLake Edge-to-cloud technology, making it simpler to manage multi-vendor and multi-cloud IT settings. The agreement's terms weren't made public.
With its HPE GreenLake service, the company provides its clients with hardware, which HPE will maintain for the duration of the product's lifespan. From beginning to finish, the platform will be able to handle hybrid and multi-cloud IT infrastructures. The business anticipates that this will result in lower OpEx for its clients. For the past year, HPE has been evaluating many expansions. The company stated in June 2022 that it will be introducing new GreenLake cloud services, including improved operations management, data fabric, and security.
In December 2022, the business looked about buying storage provider Nutanix, which was then valued at over $7 billion. HPE later disputed this, which caused Nutanix's share price to drop by 7%. HPE purchased Athonet last month in order to expand its GreenLake offering with the company's 4G and 5G private networks.
