Pan-African data center firm Open Access Data Centres (OADC) is acquiring a portfolio of NTT data centers in South Africa. According to CCSA, the deal is set to see OADC affiliates, OADC Propco and OADC Opco, acquire seven data centers currently owned and operated by NTT Data SA.
The facilities being acquired are located in Bloemfontein, Cape Town, East London, Bryanston and Parklands in Johannesburg, Gqerberha, and Umhlanga.
The deal includes associated infrastructure, equipment, supplier contracts, and lease agreements at each of these locations, as well as the property on which the Parklands data center is situated, according to the CCSA.
“The commission is of the view that the proposed transaction is unlikely to substantially lessen or prevent competition in any market,” the CCSA said.
