MeluXina supercomputer inaugurated in Luxembourg

Atos’s MeluXina supercomputer, first announced in September was inaugurated on June 7th, and will be hosted by LuxConnect’s data centers in Bissen.

The supercomputer is co-financed by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking and The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and will be run and managed by LuxProvide.

Worth €30 million ($36m), the MeluXina will be capable of executing more than 10 Petaflops and 10 million billion calculations per second.

There are 16 data centers in Luxembourg.
