Invesis Announces the Acquisition of UK’s Asanti

UK data center company Asanti has been acquired by Investment firm Invesis. Asanti has also acquired five data center facilities from Daisy Group. The five data centers are located in Reading, Hamilton, Manchester, Farnborough, and Birstall. The five facilities have a capacity of over 1,500 racks. According to Asanti, Daisy Group data center professionals will join the company as part of the transaction. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. 

The CEO of Asanti, Stewart Laing, said: “Today’s news confirms Asanti’s objective of driving change in the UK data center market by providing data center colocation and services with a specific focus on providing efficient Regional Edge data center facilities.” Laing also commented on the acquisition of Asanti by Invesis. He said: “We’re very proud that such a highly regarded and prominent industry leader has recognized the value of our expertise and commitment to the provision of state-of-the-art technology.”

According to Asanti, Invesis has made a commitment to invest more in the company to enable the development and acquisitions of data centers in Europe and the UK.
