India / Bhārata: Indian real estate developer Anant Raj proposes 300MW data center footprint

The Indian real estate development company Anant Raj will enter the data center industry. The company announced on its social media and local publications that it will invest $1.2 billion to develop up to 300MW capacity in the county. The company has set up Anant Raj Cloud Pvt. Ltd. as a subsidiary to administer its data center operations.
Anant Raj is a real estate development corporation that was founded in 1969. Traditionally, the company has concentrated on residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projects, but it has also participated in several Technology Park projects. The three technology buildings in Manesar, Rai, and Panchkula, all located in the Indian state of Haryana, will be converted into data centers.
The Manesar site currently has 3MW in operation, with an additional 3MW coming shortly. The full 21MW will be available across two floors and 450,000 square feet. On 11 acres, the Manesar Tech Park encompasses 1,800,000 square feet.
The Economic Times reported that Anant Raj owns 2.1 million square feet on a 25-acre allotment in Rai (with expansion options) and 500,000 square feet on a 10-acre plot in Panchkula.
