Grupo ClickIP launches data center in Manaus

Aug 31, 2024 | Posted by Abdul-Rahman Oladimeji

Brazil’s Grupo ClickIP this week launched a new facility in Manaus is the capital and largest city of the Brazilian state of Amazonas and launched a new data center unit.  The company said it invested more than R$20 million ($3.59m) in the project, reportedly the first of its kind in the area.

“Thank you to everyone who attends the opening celebration of ClickIP Data Centers,” the company said on LinkedIn this week. “The cloud computing service has become a reality in the city of Manaus, now we offer the largest infrastructure in the North Region in connectivity, reliability, service with more quality and low latency, all this is possible because we have a local installation."

“Initially, our intention was to host our own infrastructure to improve the health of our operation. However, with the significant changes in the market, we need to adapt, especially thinking about the customer experience. We chose to do something more robust, and not just exclusive. We saw the opportunity to market and seek certification, which will be a differentiator for our service,” said Reis.
