Green Mountain AS: Green Mountain's Parent Acquires SDC Ltd.

Azrieli Group, the parent of Green Mountain has acquired Infinity SDC Ltd. The move sees the company take over SDC’s data center in Romford, East London. Green Mountain will be tasked with operating the data center. This will be Green Mountain’s first facility outside of Norway. Green Mountain was acquired by Azrieli Group in 2021 for $850m. The Israeli real estate firm said it will merge SDC into Green Mountain upon the close of the deal. 

Green Mountain was founded in 2009 and it operates three data centers in Norway. The CEO of Green Mountain, Tor Kristian Gyland, said: “We are very excited to expand our operations outside of Norway and this site is a perfect match for us. London is an extremely important data center hub and a must-have location for many international companies."      

    

He added: "With this expansion, we can offer a broader portfolio of sites with immediately available green power, and serve clients who have capacity requirements or need to remain in the London area while still achieving their sustainability targets. This is a long-awaited request from both our current and prospective clients.”
