Five 9s Digital has completed the acquisition of a data center in Phoenix, Arizona, from Blue Cross Blue Shield. The facility is at 2525 W Townley Avenue. Also, the Phoenix facility has 50,000 square feet of space. None of the companies revealed the terms of the transaction. However, Five 9s Digital has also leased out the facility to an undisclosed national data center operator. Five 9s also disclosed that Blue Cross would remain a customer of the new operator of the facility.
Blue Cross built the facility in 2010 to Tier-III standards. The facility was also part of a complex of the company’s occupied facilities, including a four-story, 100,000 square feet office building adjacent to it.
