Finnish data center FCDC is planning a new campus in western-central Finland. FDFC Corp Oy aims to develop a 66,000 sqm (710,420 sq ft) campus in GigaVaasa, located in the Laajametsä business area near the airport. Two data center buildings are planned.

"The data center project supports Vaasa's goals to be a pioneer in the development of sustainable energy and digital infrastructure. The project will bring investments and jobs to the region, strengthening the position of the entire region as an internationally interesting and attractive technology hub,” said Frans Villanen, chairman of the Vaasa city council.

Vaasa, formerly known as Nikolaistad, is a city in Finland and the regional capital of Ostrobothnia. It is located on the west coast of the country, on the Gulf of Bothnia.
