Swedish data center operator EcoDataCenter this week announced the sale of three of its data centers to CapMan Infra’s data center platform as part of a pivot to focus on larger-scale developments.. The sale comprises two facilities in Stockholm and one in Piteå.
EcoDataCenter said the transaction is part of its long-term strategy to further focus its operations on the design, construction, and operation of large data center campuses. The facilities were “earmarked for divestment following a strategic review in order to further streamline their operations and focus on larger campus projects,” it added.
“This sale marks an important strategic milestone for EcoDataCenter, where we are now focusing on what we do best. Namely, designing, building, and operating large-scale data centers for AI and cloud services. We will continue to expand our business and strengthen our position to meet the growing demand for innovative data centers,” said Peter Michelson, CEO of EcoDataCenter.
