EcoDataCenter is Building a New Data Center at Its Falun Campus, Sweden

EcoDataCenter has announced that it is developing a new data center at its Falun campus, in Sweden. The company revealed that it would be investing up to SEK 1 billion ($102m) in the development of the new facility. The new facility will add 15MW to the campus. Worthy of note is that EcoDataCenter didn’t share any other details of the development. However, the site will offer up to 80MW and 377,000 square feet (35,000 square meters) at full build-out.

The Sales Director of EcoDataCenter, Anders Fryxell, said the company is expanding the data center to enable customers expand in order to meet increased demand. He also added that customers that choose EcoDataCenter will be getting a provider that offers very secure and scalable solution while also maintaining a low carbon footprint. The company also revealed that the heat from the new facility will be sent to a district heating system in the municipal.
