DigitalBridge has announced that it has closed its $8.3 billion digital infrastructure investment fund. This is the company’s second flagship fund. DigitalBridge’s own Capital Formation team led the fundraising. Interestingly, the fund was launched in 2020 with an initial target of $6 billion. It was also closed in the fourth quarter of last year. The CEO and President of DigitalBridge, Marc Ganzi, said the company is delighted to have closed its second and largest fund so far. He noted that the fund raised greatly exceeded the company’s original target.
Ganzi commented that the support from the investors shows that they have high confidence in the company’s strategy and team. DigitalBridge said it has already invested the fund in nine portfolio companies across hyperscale data centers, easements, Edge infrastructure, towers, fiber, and indoor DAS infrastructure. Besides, DigitalBridge also noted that the fund had attracted investments from many Asian investment companies, some large US pension funds, and European insurance & pension funds.
