Dell'Oro Group announces the release of their new advanced research study on Data Center IT Semiconductors and Components. In April 2023, the first report will be issued. Baron Fung, Senior Research Director at Dell'Oro Group, stated that while data center hardware such as servers has grown commoditized in recent years, the server CPU environment is diversifying with attractive alternatives based on x86 and ARM architectures.
In addition, he stated that data center infrastructure is becoming increasingly specialized, with processors such as GPUs and Smart NICs optimized for certain applications. Despite the fact that memory and storage components are commoditized, it is essential for suppliers to guarantee that supply meets demand. This advanced study will evaluate the vendor landscape for the major server semiconductors and components and the short- and long-term demand trends.
The Data Center IT Semiconductors and Components Advanced Research Report by Dell'Oro Group offers an in-depth assessment of the demand and supply of semiconductor materials and aspects relative to system implementations, as well as the usage of data center semiconductors and components by the Top 8 Cloud service providers as well as the rest of the industry.
