Paragon Globe has agreed to sell a 65-acre site in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, to DayOne Data Centers for RM398 million ($96 million) under a conditional agreement disclosed to Bursa Malaysia. The parcels are located in Gerbang Nusajaya, near Nusajaya Tech Park, part of Malaysia’s data center hub.
Completion of the sale is subject to several conditions, including planning approval from local authorities. No details have been disclosed about the planned data center for the site. DayOne, which focuses on the Asia-Pacific region, was spun out of China’s GDS in 2025. Its portfolio includes over 500MW of operational and under-construction capacity, plus more than 500MW of future development across Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia (Johor), Indonesia (Batam), and Japan (Tokyo).
The company recently began construction on projects in Thailand and Singapore, and in August expanded beyond Asia with a planned campus in Lahti, Finland. Earlier this year, it was reported that DayOne was targeting a $20 billion valuation for a planned IPO, with reports also indicating interest from UAE-based investor MGX.In June, the company said it had secured $4.5 billion in equity funding to support its data center expansion.
