q.beyond is considering the sale of its colocation business. The Company has been based at IP Exchange GmbH since 1st January 2021. It operates 3 data centers in Nuremberg and Munich, and it has a total of 51 employees. In a press release, the Company said the Management Board has decided to initiate a structured process to seek the possibility of a sale. However, q.beyond will only be selling if the offers are attractive.

Jürgen Hermann, CEO of q.beyond, commented that the colocation business had made the Company a lot of money in the past, and q.beyond is not in a hurry to sell. Yet, colocation offers few synergies with the Company’s Cloud, SAP, and IoT business. He further added that the liquidity from the sale would increase its flexibility for acquisitions.
