CitiGroup is initiating two data center expansion projects in the Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth regions of Texas. Two applications for 'Battery Room Buildouts' have been submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Its Georgetown Data Center is located at 201 Blue Ridge Drive in Georgetown, Williamson County, while its South West Data Center is located at 931 Litsey Road in Roanoke, Tarrant County.

The Georgetown project involves "fitting out existing equipment rooms" at a 304,700-square-foot facility, and the Roanoke project involves "converting existing battery rooms into a data hall and data hall support."
Work is scheduled to begin at the beginning of March and conclude in December of this year. The company is investing $500,000 in each location.
Citi once maintained over 70 data centers, however as of 2012, that number has been reduced to almost 20.
