Berkshire Partners is moving to acquire a 49 percent stake in MedOne, an Israeli data center company. The US private investment company is leading a coalition of companies to make the acquisition possible. MedOne currently operates more than 270,000 square feet (25,000 square meters) of data center space across four underground data centers in Israel. Another company in the investment mix is van Rooyen Group.

The CEO of MedOne, Ronnie Sadeh, said the acquisition is an important milestone for the company. According to him, MedOne has been one of Israel's top data center companies over the last 22 years. He noted that the move would help the company expand quickly and serve its customers better with world-class infrastructure.

There are 23 data centers in Israel.
