AFL Hyperscale launches DCI solutions to improve data center network infrastructure

Jun 21, 2023 | Posted by Abdul-Rahman Oladimeji

AFL Hyperscale, a prominent provider of connectivity solutions, is thrilled to introduce its two new innovative Data Center Interconnect (DCI) solutions – Connectorized and Splice – to transform how organizations connect and manage their data centers. These novel products enable customers to connect multiple data centers to create an integrated network that improves productivity, balances duties and satisfies the growing bandwidth as well as cloud migration requirements. Both products are crafted with cutting-edge technology, including the innovative Wrapping Tube Cable (WTC) with SpiderWeb Ribbon technology developed by AFL. DCI is the direct connection between two or more data centers designed to facilitate rapid, secure, and dependable data transfer and communication. The DCI solutions AFL Hyperscale provides enable operators to create an interwoven network that shares resources, balances duties, and increases overall productivity.

DCI Connectorized solutions enable operators to cross-connect data centers easily and quickly, streamlining the design, construction, and deployment of data centers. AFL Hyperscale's cable and connectivity solutions, which include ultra-high fiber count MPO trunk units, ultra-high fiber count patch frames, MPO trunk assemblies, ASCEND® housings, and ASCEND MPO patch cassettes, guarantee rapid and dependable communication all through the data center. This results in lower costs, a shorter deployment time, the maximization of available pathway space, and increased operational efficiency. AFL Hyperscale's DCI Splice solutions provide a quick and efficient way to connect through a campus or metro environment utilizing WTC with SWR tech. These solutions are designed to improve network performance, future-proof a network, and accelerate its growth.

Using mass-fusion splicing, this combination can be installed 60-75 percent quicker than with a single fiber. With fireproof RI indoor, fireproof RIO indoor/outdoor and outside plant cable – all of which use WTC with SWR technology – data center operators can establish a DCI Splice link. Additional DCI Splice options include the Mass-Fusion splice cabinet and the U-Series front-access V-panel (FVP) 6RU.
