$800M Data Center Coming To Mesa, Arizona Amidst Water Concerns

May 26, 2021 | Posted by Eric Bell

The Mesa City Council just approved the development for a Company that plans to build a data center on Elliot and Ellsworth roads in the northwest corner of Eastmark. Although the Company remains in mystery, the Mayor of Mesa City said the mystery Company would be investing $800 million to bring the data center to life. There was resentment about the project from a council member about the water which the data center will consume. However, the Mayor, John Giles, was quick to shut down the concern by saying the water issue has already been addressed as the Company would have to acquire water rights.

Redale LLC is the Company in charge of building the project. It said it would be developing the new data center on 396 acres at the southeast corner of Elliot and Ellsworth roads. It also said the plan is for the buildings to cover a 3 million square feet space.
