Carlos Salata, the quality manager for Odata, stated that the company's ST01 data center in Santiago, Chile, has obtained three ISO certifications, completing the process of obtaining this set of labels for all of its regional sites. The ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1, and ISO 27001 certifications were supported by TÜV Rheinland and are in addition to the certifications recently acquired by Odata's QR01 site in Querétaro, Mexico. The ISO licenses for all Odata data centers were issued by TÜV. The certification procedure in Chile began with an internal audit in November and concluded in March. According to Salata, the four-month period was Odata's best ever. ST01 has a built area of 40,000m2 and a projected power capacity of 28MW.

According to the executive, all Odata facilities in Brazil, Colombia, Chile, and Mexico now bear these three ISO certifications. The certifications pertain to fundamental colocation services such as solution layout, physical facilities management, management of capacity, management of assets, provisioning, network management, and data center comms delivery. ISO 9001 refers to the standard for the quality management system, ISO 20000-1 to manage information technology services, and ISO 27001 to manage and secure information.

Every three years, every site must undergo recertification. The process for the company's aging data centers in Brazil and Colombia is scheduled for this year. Newer locations in Chile and Mexico were the first to receive ISO certifications. Odata intends to acquire additional certifications for these sites, beginning with data management. Salata stated that the company intends to conclude the certification process for the Santiago data center for SOC 1 in May in Chile, a procedure facilitated by Deloitte.

ODATA SA has 23 sites.
