Turkish e-commerce giant Trendyol is constructing a data center in Ankara through a new partnership with UAE-based Castle Investments.
Founded in 2010, Trendyol has evolved from a startup into a decacorn, supported by investments from entities such as Alibaba, General Atlantic, Softbank, Princeville Capital, and several sovereign wealth funds. It operates on the principle that technology drives e-commerce outcomes. The company is recognized as one of the top five e-commerce companies in EMEA and is among the fastest-growing globally.
The company delivers over 2.5 million packages daily to 40 million customers across 35 countries. Its operations include Trendyol Tech, an R&D center; Trendyol Express, a delivery network; Dolap, a second-hand goods platform; and Trendyol Go, an instant food and grocery delivery service.
Having initiated its international expansion in Europe in 2021, the company expanded into Azerbaijan and the Gulf region in 2023, followed by Central and Eastern Europe in 2024.
