Neoen Renewables Finland Oy

Neoen Renewables Finland Oy is the Finnish subsidiary of Neoen, a French renewable energy producer founded in 2008 by Xavier Barbaro, who remains Chairman and CEO. Incorporated in Helsinki in 2018, the entity is led by country manager Jerri Loikkanen, with development headed by Miika Pilli. Since December 2024, Neoen has been majority-owned by Canada's Brookfield following a €6.1 billion acquisition. In Finland, the company operates wind, solar, and battery storage assets, including Mutkalampi, the country's largest wind farm, and has recently expanded into data center site development.

This site, adjacent to Neoen's existing battery storage facility in Lappeenranta, is progressing through a municipal zoning process initiated at the developer's request. Construction is targeted for 2027–2028, pending permitting and grid connection.
