German firm dataR has officially begun construction of its Hamburg data center located in Rellingen. The facility will offer 5MW across 4,900 sqm (52,745 sq ft) of technical space.

DataR is a future-proof data center that prioritizes sustainability alongside performance. It will employ water cooling and sustainable electricity usage to prepare for long-term technological changes. The concept also includes intensive green roofing on office areas, photovoltaic systems, and the use of climate-friendly refrigerants, making dataR an environmentally conscious data center facility.
