German cloud provider Yorizon and construction firm Hochtief have broken ground on a new data center in Herne, North Rhine-Westphalia, marking the third "Yexio" facility in the region and the fourth overall in Germany.

This project, which will be powered by 100 percent renewable energy and feature sustainable timber construction, is a key component in completing Yorizon’s "Germany West" cloud region by 2027.
