The Wingu Africa data center in Dar es Salaam has been operational since October 2022. Through a partnership with TTCL/NICTBB, the facility provides connectivity across all regions of Tanzania and Zanzibar, as well as access to eight neighboring countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi.

Wingu launched the second phase of the facility in 2025. This $50 million investment significantly upgraded the site's capabilities to meet the growing demand for AI and high-density cloud computing. The expansion also added 80 high-density racks to the data center’s infrastructure, bringing the total to 110.
