South Korean energy company SGC Energy is entering the AI market by constructing a massive data center at the Gunsan National Industrial Complex 2 in North Jeolla province.

Developed in partnership with telecom major KT and Mirae Asset Securities, the facility will sit on a 100,000-square-foot plot owned by affiliate SGC Green Power. Construction is already underway on the initial modular phase, with SGC Energy projecting the data center will launch operations in Q1 2028.
