The Freyenstein Data Center project is a massive proposed AI hub in Brandenburg, Germany, spearheaded by Noya Generalplanung and Serban DC. With an estimated investment of €25 billion, the 1.44 sq km campus is designed across 20 buildings, potentially creating 1,200 local jobs.
The developers selected the site due to its proximity to a 380kV power line; however, the project faces significant hurdles, including pending grid negotiations and intense local opposition. Residents have launched a petition citing concerns over water consumption, traffic infrastructure, and the preservation of the region's historical landscape. If planning permission is secured, construction is tentatively slated to begin by late 2029.
Serban is a pioneering company in the data center industry, known for its expertise and solution-oriented approaches aligned with global standards. With project experience exceeding 120+ megawatts, Serban stands out as one of the few companies capable of providing turnkey services and demonstrating operational competence across various regions worldwide.
In data center projects, Serban develops multidimensional solutions, ranging from critical engineering calculations and advanced IT infrastructure to energy management and climate control systems, as well as automation systems that enable centralized control of data centers. By offering operation and maintenance services, Serban contributes to building the sustainable, resilient, and uninterrupted infrastructures of the future, adding value to the industry.
