Renergy Group: El-Tor, Egypt

The data center remains at the proposal stage, with Renergy Group Partners still preparing feasibility and financing documentation requested by Egypt's Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade. It would begin at a modest footprint with room for substantial expansion over time. Positioned near major subsea cable routes linking Europe, Asia, and East Africa, the site is intended to draw international hosting customers seeking renewably powered capacity. Coordination with Egypt's telecoms, electricity, and regional development authorities is still underway before any construction begins.

Formed around Green Tech Egypt (founded 2017) and international infrastructure investor OAK Group Holdings, Renergy Group Partners is developing the El-Tor Green Valley project in South Sinai: a large-scale green hydrogen and solar power complex intended to export liquid hydrogen to Europe. The consortium's local ministerial partner is Egypt's National Organization for Military Production, reflecting the project's coordination with state and security authorities given its Sinai location. Renergy has also proposed a hyperscale data center powered by the project's own green energy generation, alongside an earlier waste-to-energy plant in Abu Rawash, Giza. The consortium is chaired by Dutch executive Robert Valk and draws on an advisory board of energy-policy and investment figures, including a former architect of the EU Green Deal.
