Polarise is developing a 30MW AI-focused data center in Amberg, Bavaria, on the site of a former Wertachtal transmission facility, with operations targeted for mid-2027. The project is designed to scale up to 120MW and will be powered by a combination of on-site renewable energy, including solar, wind, and battery storage, as part of Germany’s push for sovereign AI infrastructure.
