Microsoft is reportedly building two new datacenters in Sweden, according to Swedish Newspaper Gefle Dagblad (via MSN). It was previously reported in December that the company had acquired 130 hectares of land in the municipalities of of Gävle and Sandviken, near the Swedish capital Stockholm....

Luleå is a small coastal town just south of the Arctic Circle, and it's surrounded by dense forests and icy rivers. The facility opened in 2013 and was Facebook's first data center outside the U.S.
The current two-building campus consumes more than one percent of Sweden’s total power production and that will also double, he told Reuters.

2018: Announced an expansion that would double the size of the campus. The 3rd building would be nearly 50,000 square meters and would be launched in early 2021
