Operating Company

Operated by: E-Heat

E-Heat Oy is a privately held Finnish company founded in 2021 and headquartered in Tampere. Lauri Pispa is chief executive. The company builds and operates small containerised data centres beside district heating plants and industrial sites, and feeds the recovered server heat into local heating networks.

E-Heat sells colocation hosting to server customers whose equipment uses direct-to-chip liquid cooling. It also sells the heat to utilities and takes part in Fingrid's balancing power market by pausing customer compute when the grid needs reserve power. Its plants run in towns including Kankaanpää, Honkajoki, Merikarvia, Orimattila, Jämsä, Outokumpu, Valkeakoski and Ivalo. Heatchain Oy designs and monitors the heat side of the plants, and Wemasto Oy of Orimattila builds them. In 2026, the company had 12 data centres in Finland.
