Cyta has signed an agreement to acquire the RedOne data centre from RedMax, a Cypriot IT and telecoms firm founded in 2004. The site is in the Latsia Industrial Area, on the southeast outskirts of Nicosia.

RedMax launched the first phase of RedOne in December 2025, with 1,300 sqm of white space, capacity for up to 420 racks, air cooling to 7 kW, a 2 MW on-site substation, and 640 kWp of solar PV with battery storage. Cyta will expand and upgrade the site in phases, with the first new infrastructure due into commercial service in early 2027; once complete, it is expected to be the largest privately owned data centre in Cyprus.
