Cypriot telecommunications company Cyta has purchased the LCA1 data center from fellow Cypriot firm Simplex. The facility, located in the southeastern coastal city of Larnaca, spans approximately 1,000 square meters (11,000 sq ft).

The LCA1 data center officially opened its doors in January 2023. Both Cyta and Simplex have stated that LCA1 is the largest privately owned data center in Cyprus.
