Italian IT services provider Comtel has announced plans to develop a "zero-impact" data center in Figline Valdarno, southeast of Florence, revitalizing a former industrial manufacturing site into a modern renewable energy hub known as H2-Era Green Valley.

Powered primarily by an onsite solar plant, the facility embraces circular sustainability by routing surplus clean energy into green hydrogen generation and redirecting server waste heat to power nearby vertical farming units.
