Brazilian renewable energy company Casa dos Ventos has secured regulatory approval to build a data center in northeast Brazil.
The company anticipates starting construction in the second half of 2025, with the data center expected to be operational by January 2027. The total investment in the project's infrastructure and equipment is estimated to be up to 50 billion reais ($8.7 billion).
Casa dos Ventos is a Brazilian company that develops, builds, and operates renewable energy generation projects, playing a leading role in the country's energy transition.
The company undertook the largest wind measurement campaign ever conducted globally and developed one-third of the wind projects currently operating or under construction in Brazil.
