Proposed by Atlanta-based Beltline Energy, this preliminary data center project targets a 400-acre site in Luther, Oklahoma, situated near the OG&E Red Bud Power Plant. Although the developer specializes in renewable energy, the current proposal is designed as a traditional "behind-the-meter" facility with no immediate on-site solar component, aiming instead to draw power directly from the existing plant to support large-scale AI and digital storage infrastructure.

While the project promises significant economic revenue through annual franchise fees, it has met with strong local resistance; residents and the "Save Oklahoma Farms and Ranches" group have raised concerns regarding its massive water consumption, potential noise pollution, and the impact on residential utility rates. As of January 2026, the project remains an "early-stage concept" with no official application yet filed, leaving the community in a tense wait-and-see period.
